GLENALMOND 1966: Mitsubishi, Nagasaki

Post by Deepol » Tue Mar 13, 2018 11:35 am

Of the eight Super P general cargo liners built for Blue Funnel and Glen Lines two, GLENALMOND and PEMBROKESHIRE were built in Japan at Nagasaki, the rest coming from Tyneside(5)and Clydeside(1).
This is GLENALMOND taken in London in 1971. Although not the first launched, she just became the first in service because of delays with PRIAM on Tyneside.
GLENALMOND was switched to Blue Funnel towards the end of the 1970s becoming PATROCLUS then sold and renamed RAJAB I and SAHAR before succumbing to the torch in 1984.
