The domain clydesite.co.uk was due for renewal on the 17th of August 2016 but was not renewed and has now been suspended by the Domain registrar. The cost of renewal is about six pounds fifty pence, as the owner did have a fund raiser recently and sufficient funds were donated to cover running costs...

Like peas in a pod, lets hope they all looked the same.
It will be late spring / early summer before this one is dived again, hoping the next dive will get a full list of the remnants compiled and then maybe a positive ID can be made.

No coal at the wrecksite but that's not unusual as I don't recall seeing coal at other wrecksites either (where you might expect it), maybe the Risdon Beasley lads were having a slack week and decided a cargo of coal was better then nothing. The wreck is that of a single screw steamer and local fish...

We know she ran aground on Umfin Island http://www.pbase.com/rogercurry/image/122656590 she was reported ashore on the Island, she now lies about two miles off shore, we don't know how she got out there.

The list I am working on has a gap for the Portland S. B. Co. from 1821 to 1840 , possibly some of my mystery vessels came from that yard. Will do a little digging and come back.
