Wednesday Club
We meet throughout the year and enjoy our time together in the church hall on Wednesday mornings.
Once again the flower girls have been busy - with table decorations for Valentine's Day and the Burns Supper. With daffodils appearing in shops and the sun shining more often than not, it is a far cry from the long spell of snow and ice. However, the time indoors passed with sewing, knitting and crochet. We thank everyone who gives us wool - which is turned into tea cosies, scarves and blankets. We sent 40 jackets and 50 hats to the Special Care Babies Unit at Crosshouse, so many thanks for the baby wool.
Buttons can be very expensive, and we thank the Guild ladies for giving us such a variety and if anyone else can help we would be very grateful. Any size, shape or colour will be most welcome. Our stock of wool is also low so we would be grateful for donations of any type and any colour. As well as being delighted to receive things on a Sunday, if you come on a Wednesday morning (with or without wool) you will be very welcome and there is always tea or coffee - and sometimes we have cake too!
Many thanks.
